What's new in the house?

The Study

Visitors can now experience the house as it would have looked around 1900.  Using furniture from the Victoria and Albert Museum the house has been amazingly transformed. The restored servant's wing includes a working kitchen, the butler’s pantry and the housekeeper's parlour.

Step back in history and relive times when the house shone in all its glory.

New attractions include:

  • Dress up as Edwardian servants or members of the Graeme family

  • Talk to costumed interpreters

  • See the new kitchen complete with a working coal-fired range

  • Watch an interactive display portraying life as a servant

  • Play with Edwardian toys in the nursery

  • Enjoy the beautifully restored historic rooms throughout
